Putin backed a bigger role for India at the UN Security Council.
"India is our No. 1 candidate in terms of enlarging the geographical representation of the Security Council," Putin said when asked about New Delhi's long-standing desire for a permanent seat on the UN body.

The accord will help Russia and India venture into joint production of military hardware for other countries, including the Brahmos supersonic cruise missile.

Other deals signed Friday included joint exploration and distribution of natural gas by state-run companies, cooperation in banking to facilitate faster settlement of bilateral business transactions, easier visa rules and India's inclusion in the Russian-promoted Global Navigational Satellite System, or GLONASS. The two sides also signed agreements that focused on academic research and cultural and economic exchanges between India's financial hub, Mumbai, and Putin's hometown, St. Petersburg."
These are interesting developments. It also seems that Putin and Singh discussed holding a three-way summit with China aimed at countering the dominance of the United States in international affairs. Hmmmm
