5. Very regrettably. Now they are "bringing it on" with a vengeance.
That juvenile moronic utterance is a statement which should rightly go down as the most idiotic statement made by a President in US history.

Guess the attackers didn't get that memo from Don, Dick and George about the "great progress" being made.

9. Yes how Orwellian is that I ask.
This is perhaps the first US war where wounded soldiers are treated as if they don't exist. Out of sight out of mind is the Pentagon credo. This raises the inevitable question of course as to what is the number of wounded now? Any way to find out or approximate?

20. That breaks down to about five times as many wounded as killed.
No matter how you analyze it, it is a sickening result.

25. They have learned a few lessons from Vietnam
and from savvy media advisors.

There is more than honor and character at stake here. This is about
who is going to control at least 1/3 of the world's known oil reserves and about the largest open ended no bid contracts ever written in the history of Mankind. The most powerful and influential people are behind this. Keeping this in mind, a few GI's getting shot at or killed means nothing, and it's best if you don't know about it at all. They have no intention of surrendering any of this to the UN or anyone else EVER.

The right claims that the "unrest" affects about 1% of Iraq, the other 99% is just fine, it's just that the press only wants to report the bad stuff (example - Rumsfeld "it look like chicago").
This is the new approach. They are saying the same things about how things are here with the economy, that it's just fine too, the only problem is how it's being reported. Bush is slowly beginning to use this line too.

7. Another leader at war once said...
"But that is what the young men are for."

Adolph Hitler said that, when told of the appalling losses on the Eastern Front.

Anyone else have the feeling that that's become the prevailing attitude with this administration? That these young men and women just don't matter?

13. 41 wounded in ONE blast?
Plus the other 14 wounded in the past 24 hrs previously reported? Thats 55 in under 2 days. We had 55 wounded in the past WEEK, now that number is equalled in a third of that time.
