http://www.mehrnews.com/en/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsID=139489TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (MNA) –- Majid Ansari, vice-president for legal and parliamentary affairs, said here Wednesday that the recent accusations against Iran by Jordan’s King Abdullah II and some Iraqi officials are in line with the interests of the occupation forces in Iraq.
The Jordanian monarch and Iraqi interim President Qazi al Yawar recently claimed that Iran is interfering in Iraqi internal affairs.
The Jordanian king told the Washington Post in a recent visit to the U.S. that Iran has sent a million people to Iraq to vote for Shia candidates in an election set for January 30.
“We protest these false claims and consider many of the insecurities in Iraq as suspicious,” Ansari told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
Expressing regret over the recent remarks of Iraqi interim defense minister Hazem Shaalan against Iran, the vice-president said, “I believe these people are consciously or unconsciously influenced by the propaganda of the Zionist regime.”
