Koizumi Fears Iraq Becoming Terrorist Hub

TOKYO -- Japan's prime minister said Wednesday that Tokyo needed to keep its troops in Iraq to prevent the country from becoming a "hub for terrorists." The deployment is Japan's most dangerous military mission since World War II.

Japan has some 550 noncombat soldiers in southern Iraq to purify water and rebuild infrastructure. Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's Cabinet last week voted to extend their mission for another year, citing the need to stabilize the Middle Eastern country.

He needs to blather about al Zarqawi and OBL and probable terrorist
strikes on Tokyo and the coming Shinto-Islamic armageddon.
