Dean takes slight lead in Iowa poll
Associated Press
September 10, 2003

WASHINGTON -- Howard Dean has taken a slight lead over Dick Gephardt in a poll of those likely to attend the Iowa Democratic caucuses, giving the former Vermont governor an advantage in the two states with the first presidential contests this January.

Dean was at 23 percent; Gephardt, a Missouri congressman, 17 percent; and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, 11 percent, in the Iowa poll conducted by Zogby International. A third, 32 percent, were undecided and all other candidates were in single digits.

<snip>

In the Iowa poll, 6 percent of those likely to attend the caucuses chose North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, 4 percent Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman and 2 percent Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Florida Sen. Bob Graham, Carol Moseley Braun and retired Gen. Wesley Clark had 1 percent. Clark is expected to decide soon whether he will enter the race.

5. Don't you mean Bush?
Tell me, how is Dean or any other Democratic contender worse than Bush? Don't condemn a candidate unless you can say how they are worse than Bush. Flaming, just to flame, doesn't do any of us any good. TELL US why they are bad. Then we can make up our own minds whether your reasoning is just or just stupid.

8. The button
with the Kucinich photo that JohnKleeb uses in his signature would be really great. Lower it in size, a bit, and then it's even better.

But, I don't think Kucinich's in this campaign to win, anyway. He is in it to promote a few policy messages that I agree with.

11. He's hoping to cling on what's left of Gore's coattails
so the sheeple can remember who they voted for in 2000 and rinse and repeat in 2004. Not gonna work this time though. The sheeple are AWARE of what a jerk Lieberman is. They know who he is, that's why he is tops in name recognition, but in the dumps in popularity.

12. Could He Be Banking on the Machine Vote?
There won't be any Repubs for the machinez to vote for in the Democratic primary,
so they'll probably be programmed to go for the almost-Republican.

Lieberman is still PNAC's "Plan B" (just like in 2000).
