Scores arrested after Iraq bombs
The Iraqi security forces say they have detained at least 50 people following suicide car bombings in the mainly Shia cities of Najaf and Karbala.
Sunni militants are accused of carrying out Sunday's bombings, which killed more than 60 people.
Leading Shia clerics said the attacks were an attempt to provoke sectarian violence between Shias and Sunnis.
They asked their followers not to take revenge, saying Shias were committed to peaceful elections on 30 January.
