What's next? Branding? I guess this is a kind of funny break from the normally bleak news of the day, but it struck me as odd. Do we require hunters to display their license on their person? How about barbers, or drivers, or any number of other things that require a license. I can see having someone maintain the license. I can see someone being required to prominently display their license like in a doctors office, or barbershop, or restaurant, but to require them to wear it??? Seems almost "yellow-star of Davidish" to me. Oh well, their only strippers right? Unfortunately, that is how fascism works. They go after the people that are in the minority and eventually, they go after everyone else. Wonder how the "Libertarians" feel about this.

SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - Topless dancers in San Antonio will have a little more to wear after the city council on Friday ordered them to carry permits while performing.

The rules, similar to regulations adopted in Houston and other U.S. cities, require dancers stay at least 3 feet from club patrons and wear the $50-permits while working. The driver's license-sized permits may be attached to dancers' G-strings, or to bracelets around their ankles.

Jim DeeGear, attorney for 12 of San Antonio's topless clubs, said he would seek to have the rules declared unconstitutional.
"It's easy to pick on these people because a lot of people say, 'well, we don't much care for the way they earn their living,'" DeeGear said.

14. Actually, I worked a bar in downtown Kansas City for two years...

...and Missouri law calls on all bartenders to have a "bar card" (We had to undergo a criminal background check to obtain one), and to have it own our person at all times while we were working.

We didn't have to have it displayed while we worked, though. I think for topless dancers to have their card displayed on their person while working is a bit much to expect...
