Ex-congressman: Democrats need to be more inclusive.

Tim Roemer made it official Sunday: He will seek chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee and with it the opportunity to change his party's losing ways.
Democrats flushed with the success of former President Bill Clinton's two terms in the White House have since watched George W. Bush win twice and both houses of Congress come under Republican control.
"I'm running to win so that our Democratic Party can win," Roemer, a former congressman from South Bend, told host George Stephanopoulos Sunday on the nationally broadcast television show, "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."
Roemer cited such Democratic setbacks in the last election as losing 97 out of 100 of the nation's fastest-growing counties and having just four Democratic U.S. senators throughout the deep South as motivation for his bid.
