Clinton rallies against recall as GOP strives for unity
Former President Bill Clinton rallied against the gubernatorial recall campaign Sunday, energizing a state Democratic Party that is increasingly hopeful it can defeat the attempt to oust Gov. Gray Davis.

Clinton, widely seen as the Democratic Party's most popular figure, spoke during a midmorning service at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, the city's oldest black congregation. He mixed scripture with politics during his 40-minute address, repeating Democrats' theme that the recall is part of a right-wing attempt to grab power.

2. I was very disappointed-but, not surprised that CNN cut Clinton's coverage
waaay short. And, they didn't even cover Gray Davis' speech.

:-(

5. Gee, the Rethugs would never speak directly to an African American crowd
And, I direct this to the person who was
complaining that President Clinton wasn't
a perfect progressive so they came to
dispise him...

He has many good points.
And here's an example.
He's not perfect; who is?
But he damn well tried to be a good President
and he's damn well trying to be a good former
President.

Of all the people.
Not just the fabulously wealthy with white faces.

4. They almost always have to mention GOP when talking about Democrats

You will see lots of articles about Arnold alone, but almost everytime they mention a Democrat (Davis or Cruz), they have to talk about Arnold too.

Will we see headline stories about Clinton and the anti-recall today without Arnold also being featured?

The "liberal media" is a big part of the reason this recall is happening.
