OLYMPIA, Wash. A Seattle man has filed a petition to recall Secretary of State Sam Reed.

Martin Ringhofer accuses Reed of missteps that let Democrat Christine Gregoire beat Republican Dino Rossi in the race for governor.

A spokeswoman for Reed says he's not concerned about a recall because he was simply upholding his oath of office.

1. Similar suit for Blackwell?

I admit I cannot keep up with all the details surrounding the election controversy. Has anything similar been filed against Blackwell in Ohio?

I am assuming Secretary of State is the office responsible for election processes in most states as it is here in LA, but I could be wrong.

It would take the Ohio state congress or the US congress which are both Republican controlled, and that's not gonna happen.

5. This guy has been around for ages

kind of a RW gadfly in my book. He was in a Philsophy class I took nearly 30 years ago and he was a loud mouth there too. Hope the local media does a bio on this character so people know where this kind of thing comes from.

So the crux of the case would have to be - Reed followed the law so he should be recalled?!?!
