Guinn recall leaders call Nevada DMV action illegal

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A group organizing a drive to recall Nevada Gov. Kenny Guinn says the state Department of Motor Vehicles has hindered its efforts to gather signatures.

The Recall Guinn Committee wants Secretary of State Dean Heller to find the DMV in violation of the law for allegedly refusing to allow signature-collecting at two sites in southern Nevada.

Renee Parker, chief deputy secretary of state, said an investigation is being made to determine the facts and a decision hopefully will be made by Tuesday.

Christopher Hansen, vice chairman of the recall group, lodged the complaint Friday, saying his group has been blocked at DMV offices in Las Vegas and Henderson. (snip/...)

So the RICO-style collusion with DMV makes much more sense.

Though I must say I am torn by using Repug tactics like this bogus recall against them. It is a tacit admission that the American Expweriment has failed, because we shall all quickly spiral down to the Bushevik gutter while the Busheviks spiral down to the Totalitarian-Orwellian-Stalin-Hitler gutter.

On the other hand, unlike those victimized by Prescott Bush's business partners, Hitrler and the Nazis, part of me would rather go down swinging because we ALL know what happens when bullying scum like Hitler or Bush do not meet firm opposition.

Fight furiously we must as the future of representative democracy is at stake. As for recalls, as much as I like the poetic justice, no I think they like impeachment should be reserved for instances where there has been the commission of high crimes and misdemeanors by the occupant of the office which is a sufficiently broad category to allow for the removal of those who are betraying their citizens while insuring that we are not subject to an endless cycle where well financed interests can seek to overturn the results of an election by any means available, as we have seen the Rethugs do again and again.
