Group speaks out on Iraq

Members of the Patriots for Peace say Vice President Dick Cheney and the administration have lied to the American people about why we went to war with Iraq.

The protesters want American troops home now.

2. Hope there was more to the protest than this!

3. UpInArms, it was in
Charleston. i heard about 100 people. i was on my way to see a client and heard a reporter on the a.m. radio, with the typical disapproving "can you believe this throwback to the 60s?" tone in his voice. the show host wanted to know if there was any violence. sheesh. if i had a chance to see cheney face-to-face, i wouldn't mind going mano-a-mano with that scumbag.

Wake Democrats, Others Protest Cheney

September 12, Raleigh -- About 100 people gathered today to protest Vice President Dick Cheney as he went to a fund-raiser for Congressman Richard Burr, a Republican candidate in 2004 for US Senate. Members of the Wake County Democratic Party, the NC Democratic Party, and other concerned citizens lined the Blue Ridge Road.

While I was not able to make it to the protest, I know that groups other than the Democratic Party were also represented. This was on less than two days notice, and on a work day!

5. thanks laruemtt!
I was just happy to see that this was seen and reported - there have been hundreds (perhaps thousands) that have the news has gone completely silent on.

6. What I want to know is
was there an ambulance in the motorcade?

There was when Cheney came to Kansas City last fall.
