In an interview in Australia, Hans Blix said that he now believes that Iraq destroyed its WMDs 10 years ago and that intelligence agencies were wrong in their weapons assessmentthat led to war:

"The more time that has passed, the more I think it's unlikely that anything will be found," Blix said in the interview, which was broadcast on Wednesday.

"I'm certainly more and more to the conclusion that Iraq has, as they maintained, destroyed almost all of what they had in the summer of 1991," Blix said.

Like where have they been found?? Maybe I'm missing something, but I've not heard of any being found. I know he had them because Rumsfeld sold them, but 15 years is a long time to store biological/chemical weapons. They degrade and become useless.

This is a popular "theory" (and I use the term very loosely lest anyone think the right wing has the power to form such a thing) among the right wing these days in a desparate attempt to hold onto to any possibility that Bush did not lie to them. When the realization that they were outright deceived finally hits, the mental anguish will be devastating.

Denial is a very strong defense mechanism.
