Clark To See Who Salutes W.H. Bid
Clark To See Who Salutes W.H. Bid

(CBS/AP) Retired Gen. Wesley Clark waffled for weeks on his intentions and agonized over his decision, yet Wednesday was announcing he will seek the Democratic presidential nomination for 2004.

He has no experience in elective office and no history on domestic policy. But he offers Democrats one thing they crave: New hope of undercutting President Bush's wartime popularity.

"The American people are looking for leadership and looking for experienced leadership and looking for leadership with experience in foreign affairs and how to better maintain security," Clark said on CBS News' The Early Show.

1. No we're looking for a leader who will defeat Bush and oust or work to
oust the Reichwing ideologues ruling the Republican party and Congress. They are as big a problem as Al Queda. Dean knows this. Clark and his DLC backers don't.

3. Clark knows
To tear down any candidate to promote another is counter productive. I sincerly believe that Clark will be working to "oust *"

4. Dean might know it
but we know that he can't beat Bush

He's the Republicans' wet dream candidate

and always remember, and never forget, that Dean was a member of the DLC.

7. NO--We know Dean CAN beat Bush
It's the Repukes and their lies that make people believe that.

They are much more afraid of Dean than they're letting on!

5. yes -- is the press already trying to "gore" clark?
I find myself still ultra-sensitive from election 2000. That Wa. Post piece last night, for example, was a harbinger of things to come. Bad judgment, says-what-you-want-to-hear, etc. The press in this country makes me SICK! They will try to dissect him before he even gets going.
