WASHINGTON - The White House is keenly watching the Iraqi election because it could affect U.S. military action there and sap President Bush (news - web sites)'s political strength here and abroad if the balloting doesn't lead to stability.



Bush has sought to declare victory before the polls even open in Iraq (news - web sites) on Sunday by arguing that just the fact that Iraqis are voting means success. The election "will add to the momentum of democracy," Bush said Saturday in his weekly radio address.

Hours after it aired, however, National Security Adviser Steve Hadley informed the president that a rocket had hit the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, killing at least two Americans who worked there and wounding four others. The White House reaction to the attack echoed Bush's insistence that violence will not dissuade Iraqis from voting.

Bush is expected to be kept abreast of voting and events in Iraq; the State Department formed a task force Friday to follow developments. by imposing this so called "election" on a population that was shocked and awed by our bombs, destroying entire families at one shot, and now claiming to bring Americanized democracy and liberty to the people we killed by the hundreds of thousands, is nothing more than a sham.

It is a PR attempt to fool, once more, the people who believe that this whole slaughter was for "good".

Al Quaida and BL is still alive, and so is Saddam. One hundred thousand innocent people are DEAD.

It is hard ot imagine that. Imagine one hundred thousand people whose only "crime" was to be born where they were born and their children, the same ones who had a name, and who were loved, and who were sent off to school every morning and whose parents had names and were human beings guilty of NOTHING.

One hundred thousand estimated are dead, are the vulnerable victims.

On lies.

But the people have decided it is of no consequence.

What after all, do those human beings mean to them? Especially the pro-lifers to name a few.

It is a slaughter and it has been done in our name by an insane man and his insane zionist cohorts.

AND the entire Chemical Industry, which uses the oil to make chemicals for plastics, and fuels, and farming and everything...it's like getting your hands on HOUSTON....

13. After the sham elections, the military mission will change.

The military will be used to guard oil facilities. Security in the cities will be turned over to Iraqi police, no matter how ill-prepared. The US will provide limited rapid reaction forces to attempt to stop civil war, but the priority effort for US troops will be to guard the pipelines.

You're right that the election is nothing but a PR sham. It gives Bush an excuse to pull our troops out of the cities and send them to guard the oil.

the OIL is only part of it....Iraq has a giant chemical industry to 'fractionate' the oil into it's many components, much like HOUSTON....

halliburton is already building the 'work camps' to run the chemical and oil industries (which are all outside the major cities)....


bush* learned all this from his grandpa, prescott...the 'work camps' will use CHEAP Iraqi labor, and provide minimal food/housing....

Auschwitz too was a 'work camp'..."WORK MAKES YOU FREE"....after hitler pre-emptively attacked Poland to steal the Iron, Coal, STEEL mills for his WARS.... Auschwitz was set up to provide the ULTIMATE cheap labor (SLAVERY) for those industries, along with the cheapest food/housing possible...when the SLAVES could no longer work or became problematic, they were KILLED, although many died from starvation, diseases, overwork, industrial accidents, mining accidents, etc...

Iraq is morphing into the same profit pattern...bush* pre-emptively attacks Iraq for their oil/chemical industries to support bush* perpetual WARS...(coal, iron, steel is OLD war industries...today's military runs now off oil, plastics, chemicals as the NEW war industries)...

the American Troops will supervise the 'work camps' while also providing protection, and organized torture, like at Abu Garib...the cheap labor is already available, with bush* creating 80% unemployment in Iraq...as starvation sets in, more and more Iraqis will VOLUNTARILY get on the buses to the 'work camps', with the promise of food/housing for workers and their families (NO wages, just a 'company store' for food/housing for starving Iraqis)...like Auschwitz, many will DIE from diseases, minimal or no sanitation, lack of medical care, and OVERWORK, with no OSHA, EPA or any other regulations, unsafe working conditions, chemical exposures, etc (which is already happening, all over Iraq)....the ones that get too weak to continue, or become too much of a burden/problem will be REMOVED to the halliburton incinerators, along with their families....

I disagree. What difference will it make? Chimpie has never admitted to being wrong about anything. It's unlikely that the Republican controlled House and Senate will turn against him. He has already ruined the US's reputation in most parts of the world. He has dug us into such a deep financial hole, it will take many years to recover, if at all.

I would wager that if he really cares at all, it would only be because failure in Iraq might slow down (not prevent), his force feeding of "democracy" to Iran and Syria and wherever else he sets his sights on.
