A Republican insider was charged Monday with two felonies on accusations he stole nearly $25,000 from the Indiana Senate's GOP fund-raising committee.

"No political party has a monopoly on corruption," Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi(R) said. "When it comes to prosecution, there are no Republicans or Democrats, only individuals who need to be held accountable."

The committee is a fund-raising organization devoted to electing Republicans to Indiana's Senate. Disclosure forms filed with the Indiana Election Commission showed the committee had a balance of $219,767.44 on Jan. 1, 2004, and $8,292.96 on Oct. 8. The Jan. 1, 2005, report was not available Monday.

Jamie Jorczak, communications director for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus, declined comment, saying "this is not a matter of state government."

2. Remember This Quote
Write it down and post it prominently.

10. But the Dems can't trump the
R stinkers if they really tried. Republican party: the party of war criminals and, well, just plain criminals.

Nixon, #41, #43, Liddy, Hunt, North, Kissinger, Baker, for starters. Care to add a few more?

13. Republican County Prosecutor Brizzi could have shortened that comment!
How about "No political party has a monopoly on corruption, it just seems that way!"

3. You lie down with dogs...
You get up with fleas.

If they wouldn't provide such a safe harbor for shady characters maybe this wouldn't happen.

9. Yes - essentially
Democrats are fair game.

Those lousy Greens/Independents, of course, never have anything worth stealing anyway...

And don't even get me started on the Californians! $45 billion dollars (a la Enron) is nothing compared to the indignities the RW suffers from those latte-drinking poofs!

11. $25,000 less spent on smears
Sometimes their lack of values is a good thing. :)

It's a dilemma for them, I'm sure. How does the party of greed find people they trust to handle their own finances?
