28. You don't need to invade NK's airspace
Please note that it's a slender nation and they're accusing us of using U-2s against them. That plane flies at 80,000 feet; you can stay out in international waters and photograph anything you damn well feel like in North Korea from that height.

At least 30? I bet that's really low, considering you've got five different airbreathers and 31 days to do it in.

29. Granted, spying is a fact of life.
Therefore, if North Korea shoots down U.S. spy planes when they overfly its territory, that shouldn't bother anyone. Just part of the game, right?

30. Heh well...
I doubt they'll shoot down a spy-plane deliberately for 3 reasons
1. It's not as easy as you might think to do that, there's a lot of luck involved.
2. The potential for US retaliation is to high to justify the propaganda gain.
3. Shooting anything in that area is a risky proposition considering the amount of weaponry in the region.
4. They're well on their way to having ICBM's, why mess up a good thing?

So anyways, I don't think they'll do it. The only way you get a shooting war out of this situation is if someone pulls a trigger accidentally and no one realizes it was a mistake. There's no gain for any side in this situation for the Americans to get shot at.

32. I think that's all true
I was just pointing out that people tend to be pretty blase about these things, until something happens to their own players in the game.

33. That's certainly true too,
and I was well aware of that and just wanted to make an academic point. This administration is living proof of that. I think I assumed rational actors in my diagnosis.
