Student charged with stealing test answers with high-tech device
http://www.mysanantonio.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D880LOJ00.html

A student has been accused of attaching a keystroke-recording device onto a teacher's computer to steal test answers.

The 17-year-old was charged with breach of computer information, a misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Fort Bend Independent School District spokeswoman Mary Ann Simpson said the teenager acknowledged attaching the device in November when the teacher wasn't looking.

School district police got a tip in mid-December that the student was trying to sell the answers, Simpson said.

6. Meh
about the only technological acumen involved in putting in a keystroke logger, other than knowing they exist, is the ability to use a credit card to buy one. He likely has no more technological prowess then your average script kiddie...

Technical acumen is a lot less valuable than moral acumen, in my opinion.

4. Note that the only reason he got caught was that he
tried to sell the answers. Otherwise, he would have gotten away with it. (Unless he had bragged about it, I suppose.)
