Kids march to thank Mandela

NELSON Mandela's visit to London yesterday gave youngsters campaigning for a new school the chance to thank him for his support.

Kids from Christchurch, Sudbourne, Glenbrook and St Jude's primary schools marched on Trafalgar Square to hear Mr Mandela address the crowds about ending world poverty and present him with letters, paintings and poems.

As part of their call for a £25million secondary school to be built, the kids also carried a banner saying "Secondary schools. Invest in Brixton kids now". <snip>
