The men were later shown being shot as they kneeled outdoors with their eyes bound.
The group said in a statement that the seven had been captured in major ambush on a 50-strong Iraqi police convoy in the Abu Ghraib area near Baghdad on Thursday. The attack killed two policemen, wounded 14 and left at least 16 missing.
"You should not cooperate with the new Iraqi government," one of the men said on the video, dated Feb. 4 and posted on the group's Web site.
The Army of Ansar al-Sunna is one of the main Sunni Muslim groups waging attacks to cripple the American-backed government and drive out U.S.-led forces.
