Germans in official visit to Iran

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Parliament, Volker Ruehe, and his deputy, Hans-Ulrich Klose, are scheduled to visit Iran later this month. Discussions will focus mainly on foreign policy, the situation in Iraq, EU-Iran ties and Iran's nuclear issue, according to the spokesperson.

A legislator for the opposition Christian Democrats, Ruehe, and Klose who is a Social Democratic lawmaker, will embark on the trip from February 28 through March 3, a spokesman for Ruehe's office told IRNA late Friday.
