Iran Says Will Never Give Up Nuclear Technology
TEHRAN/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iran, in a renewed challenge to U.S. and European efforts to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear bomb, vowed on Wednesday it would never give up its nuclear program.

President Mohammad Khatami (news - Web sites) also warned of "massive" consequences if it was treated unfairly over its nuclear program which Iran says is for peaceful purposes only and Washington believes is a cover for producing a bomb.

"We give our guarantee that we will not produce nuclear weapons because we're against them and do not believe they are a source of power," Khatami told foreign ambassadors in Tehran.

"But we will not give up peaceful nuclear technology."

1. And nobody has any moral ground to insist they do give it up.
If megalomaniacs near you are well armed, it would be foolish not to have a means of deterring their aggressive nature. Iran has some bad neighbors and the army of an invading power with delusions of making the world its very own 'ownership society' at their border. No sane person would throw out any resource faced with those realities.

The hubris of the malAdministration insisting on telling other nations how it's gonna be is gonna get us all killed.

5. OH, goody!!!
Israel can attack Iran, and then Iran can respond by nuking Israel if they have the bomb, and then we will nuke Iran, and then Russia will let loose with their stuff.

Can you believe this scenario??? I was talking about this tonight at dinner with my kids and I could not believe that I was even thinking this. I thought all this nuke stuff was over 15 years ago. What a legacy this man is going to leave.
