BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Gunmen attacked a bakery in southern Baghdad on Friday, killing nine workers, Iraqi police said.

According to authorities, about a dozen gunmen emerged from two vehicles parked in front of the facility in the area known as New Baghdad and opened fire.

Either way, the aim is prevent an all-Iraq unity from emerging, and serves the continuation of the occupation.

The article mentions that the bakeries had election posters up, with Shiite candidates featured. But, I don't know, that seems pretty thin. The bakery could have had other uses, or the owner could have been some kind of player...just speculation.
