9 cops caught up in sting operation

CHICAGO, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Nine current or former law enforcement officers, all but one from the Chicago area, were under arrest Friday, caught up in an undercover sting.

The suspects were charged with stealing money and fake cocaine, federal officials announced.

The investigation, code-named Operation Blue Steal, involved five sting operations, including the robbery of an undercover agent posing as a drug dealer and four thefts from FBI cars planted to look like they were owned by drug dealers, the Chicago Tribune reported.

3. The FBI did the exact same thing here

in San Antonio a couple of years ago. They got like 9 convictions and pleads of guilty.
