TIKRIT, IRAQ – One Task Force Danger Soldier was killed and one was wounded by indirect fire on a Coalition Forces base near Samarra at about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 13.
Both Soldiers were evacuated to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility where one died later of wounds sustained in the attack.
The names are being withheld until the next of kin have been notified.

BAGHDAD, Feb 14 (Reuters) - One U.S. soldier was killed and another was wounded in an attack on a military base in Iraq, the U.S. army said on Monday.

The attack occurred on Sunday at a base near Samarra, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, an army statement said. The death was a result of indirect fire, probably a mortar round.

Militants frequently fire mortars at U.S. bases but generally cause little damage.

there are only a few remaining "holdouts" of Saddam's old regime. There's really only about 5 or 6 of them. They'll be gone shortly. Then we can all go vacation in Iraq because it will be a beautiful place to visit what with the devastation and destruction we've caused.

Our media has done us a great disservice by sanitizing everything. They think they're doing the right thing by covering up the colossal mess we've created and keeping the sheeple uninformed.
