Bush renominates judicial candidates
A thumb in the eye to the Constitution and the Advice and Consent doctrine.

W
ASHINGTON - Following through on a promise he has made repeatedly since his victory in November, President Bush yesterday re-nominated 12 candidates for federal appeals court seats whose confirmations were blocked by Senate Democrats during his first term.

..................

The battle over the makeup of the federal bench is also a key issue for conservative evangelicals and others at the core of the president's political base who see judges as crucial to their efforts to end abortion, allow for broader religious presence in daily life.

3. Judge Holmes
Is he included in that group? The man who said, "Women must be SUBSERVIENT to men according to the BIBLE." Wish I could remember her quote, but even Kay Bailey Hutchinson, REPUBLICAN, had a few choice words on that statement before she voted NO.

Can you say CHRISTIAN TALIBAN Judges? We are becoming the very thing we were supposed to be fighting AGAINST. Just different sides of the same coin.
