SACRAMENTO — Frustrated by their inability to solve California's financial woes — and perhaps tiring of pointing a finger at one another — state lawmakers are increasingly laying the blame thousands of miles away, in Washington, D.C.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and legislative leaders will head there this week in a lobbying blitz to demand more money. And they will go armed with a long list of grievances:
Such as California contributing more federal tax dollars than it gets back. Or California getting less homeland security money per person than Wyoming. Or California footing the bill to jail thousands of illegal immigrants. The list goes on.

Whatever the outcome of Schwarzenegger's push, Democrats stand to gain. Should the governor succeed, they can say, "I told you so." Should the governor fail, they can accuse him of not making good on his promise to secure more money — and not getting anything in return from President Bush after helping elect him to another term in the White House, contrary to the wishes of most voters in the heavily Democratic state.

"Is the governor tough enough to make the Republicans perform for their state?" asked Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose). "He's the one who said he would be the 'Collectinator.' "

1) Economic destabilization (Enron energy scheme black-outs)
2) Topple a democratically-elected leader (Dem Gov. Gray Davis)

Diebold has a strong foothold despite the Dem Sec. of State Shelley getting a $2.6 million settlement for ELECTION FRAUD IN ALAMEDA COUNTY. But Shelley was hounded out of office and Ahnuld just appointed his Katherine Harris/Ken Blackwell Repub Sec. of State.

We in California are under attack just as the Iranians are and for the same reason: to funnel more profits back to the White House.

7. Much of the fiscal woes stem from Unfunded Federal Mandates

with education required spending on disabled students, NCLB, etc., and Clean Water Act etc., where nowadays--after most corporate polluters have been cleaned up, municipal polluters are the targets, and the taxpayers get the bill.

Ahnolds says he can get $ from Bush. This is a dream.

Globalized corporations need to pay more into the state's system, instead they pass their taxbreak amounts onto Joe Sixpack. And now that Arhnolds is copying Colorado's TABOR model from 1992, we can see that he needs even more $ from Bush to stay alive politically.

Bush will let him twist slowly in the wind, and the people of CA will suffer for it. But at least we'll know who shafted us now, won't we.
