The California law, adopted in September, is the first in the nation to limit carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles. Excessive carbon dioxide is believed to be the main global warming factor.

Gore said he would announce a national campaign at an appearance in Los Angeles today to persuade the alliance to abandon the suit. The alliance represents DaimlerChrysler AG, Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Corp., among others

Im not sure why they dont all go hybrid- I know they make more money per vegicle by selling SUVs but they could at least make them hybrid engines.

8. A new Hybrid loop-hole they're exploiting
They're working on hybrids that use the electric engine as a TURBO-BOOSTER for performance instead of mileage.

We have to make sure standards are set based on mileage and emissions, NOT on whether or not it is a hybrid.

And I am still waiting on my $2,000 tax credit please, IRS.
