Congress OKs Law on Class Action Suits
Congress on Thursday passed legislation that would transfer most large, multistate class action lawsuits to federal court, fulfilling one of President Bush's second-term goals

1. It would have more appropriately been named "Corporate Welfare Bill".
The ONLY faction served by this bill are big corporations.

Lawyers still get big bucks.

Corporations still are not held fully accountable.

And the American people now have far less power to stand up against corporate abuses.

At least my Congressman, Israel (S-NY) voted against it! 50 (yes 50) Democrats voted for this thing. 279-149 Of course, my dear Senator Schumer voted for it. :puke:
