9. The Iranians are no wimps.

They have not been decimated by decades of UN sanctions. They have a viable army. They've lived through wars before. They have friends in high places.....like Russia.....probably China.....and India. The two emerging economic giants, looming on the horizon.

Iran won't be easily conquered. And they're making sure Bush knows this. That's why they're having the public displays of power.

What are the odds that we'll attack? I don't think the US will in the near future. We definitely have the fire power, but not the manpower. On the other hand, they're probably debating the benefits of doing an air raid, bombing the crap out of Teheran, and trying to take out their nuclear reactors. Maybe......

But they know that Russia will get involved at that point. Plus, Russia has recently armed Iran with missiles, just to be on the safe side.

But we MIGHT use Israel vicariously, and let them do the dirty work by bombing Iran. The US will then applaud the move.

But we're still risking World War III by doing it. Hard to tell.....

The military is stretched to thin to combat a major force. Munitions are depleted, there is no ammo to fight with. AGM's are becoming scarce, so even a constructive air campaign would be useless. The arsenal is simply not there, nor is the troop strength.

It's not a war we could win without exercising "the nuclear option."
