Bush Issues Forceful Words to Iran, Syria
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 10:08 AM by Califooyah Operative
Edit: they changed the article title from 'Bush Faces Iraq Critics in Europe' to 'Bush Issues Forceful Words to Iran, Syria'

BRUSSELS, Belgium - President Bush (news - web sites), hoping to thaw relations with European leaders skeptical about U.S. involvement in Iraq (news - web sites) and the Middle East, pressed on Monday for greater trans-Atlantic relations. "In a new century, the alliance of America and Europe is the main pillar of our security," he said.
..........
Bush pledged to move forward to long-running conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis and "raise the flag of a free Palestine."
............
urning to another volatile spot in the world, Bush called on Syria to withdraw its forces from Lebanon. As Bush spoke, thousands of opposition supporters in Beirut shouted insults at Syria and demanded the resignation of Lebanon's pro-Syrian government, marking a week since the assassination of Rafik Hariri, Lebanon's most prominent politician.
............
"The time has arrived for the Iranian regime to listen to the Iranian people and respect their rights and join in the movement toward liberty that is taking place all around them."

The "forceful" leader seeks to escape the consequences of his belligerence.

The alliance is in a shambles since this idiot and his neo-con cronies took over.

Since when do the Iranian people wish to give up nuclear power plants? What evidence has ever been presented to support this false allegation?

Bush seeks to use American military threats to destroy rival interests in Iranian energy resources.
