Tax Cutting Indiana Governor Proposes Hike

INDIANAPOLIS - Gov. Mitch Daniels proudly displays a samurai sword in his office, a remnant of the days when President Bush (news - web sites) nicknamed him "The Blade" for his prowess in cutting taxes and federal spending.

But now the former White House budget director — and Indiana's first Republican governor since 1988 — has proposed a one-year tax increase to slice away at the state's $645 million deficit.

Cuts daycare for working mothers. Cuts Medicare for Senior Citizens. Cuts funding for Education. Cuts funding for Libraries. Cuts funding for Environmental Protection. Cuts the Local Government Revenue Assistance Fund that helps small towns and villages.

These bastards are cutting $1 million from the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps. Hey! Tiny Tim! Go Fuck Yourself! These people are working hard to create a society that looks ominously like a collision of "Oliver Twist" and "Blade Runner." Think the sheep will wake up before it's too late?
