TX: Suspect's wife says he is 'not capable' of killing (blames victim)

Trish Barbee says that her new husband, charged with capital murder after police say he confessed to the deaths of his pregnant ex-girlfriend and her son, is "not capable" of the slayings.

Barbee said her husband told her he was not sure the child was his and that Underwood had been calling him, threatening to tell her about the baby.

Barbee said that she first knew about Underwood in 2003, a few months after she and Stephen Barbee started dating. She said Underwood came to Stephen Barbee's former apartment and started banging on the door one morning. Barbee said Stephen Barbee told her that he had dated Underwood a few times and that the woman now wouldn't leave him alone.

Meanwhile, a business partner of Stephen Barbee was arrested Wednesday for a parole violation. Ronald Royce Dodd, 33, of Haslet has been questioned by police about what he knows about the murders. Jail officials said they had no information on the type of parole violation. Dodd was sentenced to eight years in prison in 1997 for aggravated assault with a weapon and was released on parole in 2003. Police say that Dodd, who has not been charged in connection with the slayings, told investigators that he saw the bodies in the back of Underwood's vehicle in Denton County early Saturday and that Barbee told him what happened.

2. Well, since he confessed to it,
apparently he is. I guess it's the little boy's fault he walked in on him killing her too, right ?

I've heard of stand by your man, but this is ridiculous.
