9/11 Planner Tells of Plot's Origins
Mohammed Says He and Bin Laden Discussed Hijacking Five Planes on Each Coast

Khalid Sheik Mohammed, mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, has told U.S. interrogators that he first discussed the plot with Osama bin Laden in 1996 and that the original plan called for hijacking five commercial jets on each U.S. coast before it was modified several times, according to interrogation reports reviewed by the Associated Press.

Mohammed also divulged that, in its final stages, the hijacking plan called for as many as 22 terrorists and four planes in a first wave, followed by a second wave of suicide hijackings that were to be aided possibly by al Qaeda allies in southeast Asia, according to the reports.

Over time, bin Laden scrapped parts of the Sept. 11 plan, including attacks on both coasts and hijacking or bombing some planes in East Asia, Mohammed is quoted as saying in reports that shed new light on the origins and evolution of the plot.

Translation = The government handed them a script and they read it. No independent verification; no direct quote. That this is reported as fact is embarassing.

To think, I used to string for these people.

3. What bugs me

is that the article doesn't/won't/can't tell the answer to the most obvious question about the whole attack- what was the intended target of the fourth plane, the one that got crashed in east of Pittsburgh?

The Administration has always- for very transparent reasons- insisted that the intended target was the White House.

I still figure the most likely intended target was the Pentagon.

Of course, if Sheik Mohammed tells a story that doesn't gibe with the Bushies' it doesn't get asked or reported these days.

That came out a long time ago. Secondary target was CIA Headquarters in mcLean. The White House and Air Force One :crazy: were never targets.

6. If Khalid is really confessing

Then why is there no new information in these reports? Seems like everything he is 'confessing' just confirms what we already knew? Come on folks, this report just seems to prove that Khalid is either not really in custody or he's reading from a prewritten script. The real Khalid knows too much for there not to be at least a couple of surpises in this whitewashed report. Funny how everything Khalid supposedly told them fits so nicely with the story that W and Co want us to believe.

How convenient for the administration.

This guy doesn't even look like the Khalid Sheik Mohammed on the FBI list before he was captured. I don't think the real Mohammed whoever he is used the internet. If he had, NSA analysts would already know everything about the plot before he was "captured." This is ashcroft bs.

8. Electrodes held to testicles free the truth

It just takes a while to get to that point...

First lots of drugs, isolation, lights on all the time, then darkenss, continuous loud noise than when theat does'nt work, fake trials and executions. Eventually beatings of the feel and hands and then finally electricity.

Three months of "interrogation" should allow them to get the person to say what they want to hear.

10. the press is taking this in hook, line, and sinker

they could have put any words they wanted in this guy's mouth. ANYTHING! The press is just repeating it verbatim, like it's the gospel truth.

It's disgusting. Because, well, now to the public it is "the truth".

I mean, maybe it IS the truth. But we just don't know. Anybody could have written this script anyway they wanted to.
