U-S solider, three Iraqis killed in attacks (1493)

MOSUL, Iraq U-S military and Iraqi officials say insurgents are responsible for the deaths of a U-S soldier and three Iraqis.

And today, the husband of a kidnapped female T-V presenter says she has been found dead. The Iraqi woman was abducted six days ago in the northern city of Mosul. Her husband says she was shot in the head.

Meantime, the military says one of its soldiers was killed yesterday in Anbar province, where the military is conducting sweeps against insurgents. Also two Iraqis have been killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.

And militants have set fire to an oil pipeline in northern Iraq. It's a four-day repair job. Insurgents have regularly targeted Iraq's oil infrastructure to deny the country funds badly needed for reconstruction. DD
