While Iran faces a deadline of late October to prove that its nuclear facilities are not a cover for building nuclear weapons, Iran's newest weapon was publicly paraded before dignitaries in Tehran Monday.
Iran showed off its military might Monday, publicly parading its newly deployed Shahab-3 ballistic missiles before a crowd of dignitaries in Tehran, including President Mohammad Khatami, military leaders and members of the media.

Six of the sand-colored, medium-range missiles, which experts say are capable of reaching Israel or U.S. bases in the Gulf, were rolled out at the end of a parade marking the anniversary of Iran's war with Iraq that began in 1980.

Iran, using North Korean designs and Russian technology, announced in July it had completed testing the missile system, which has a range of about 1,300 kilometers.

It is certainly a terrible news to average americans who would flip over anything that "could", "capable", "might", or even "remotely possible" of hitting our good friend Israel and our beloved sons and doughters liberating pagans from the devil. Some might question that having weapons doesn't necessarily mean that they have the intention to attack. But there's a perfectly logical and the most Bush like response. "why do they have such weapons in the first place if they are not going to use 'em?" Ain't it funny that a response like that is considered logical even though we have 20,000 nukes? Ain't it funny that Iran is considered to be provoking an attack even though we just annihilated their neighbour and displayed a force that could hit Iran gazillion times and barbecue every living thing in that god forsaken pagan land?

I'm sorry, if I didn't make it clear.. I was being sarcastic.. Since many ignorant christians don't distincguish the difference between being a pagan and a muslim(and of any other religion), I thought I'd use the word many of my evangelical friends in the States use. They tell me being a pagan means "non/anti-christian" or "in bed with the devil", and all pagans should rot in hell.. I'm a catholic and I can't believe some of the hate-filled stuff they say about other people.. I love the US.. But ever since I moved from North Carolina to Canada and there is a world of difference in the tolerance of other culture and religion..
