1. I heard this on NPR this morning
then turned on the TV expecting it to dominate all the news channels.

But I had to wait through Oscar fashions, some development in the Michael Jackson case, something about Martha Stewart, and BTK killer stuff before they even mentioned it. I'm talking about all channels.

4. all the whores got the memo
literally, I mean.

I mean that in all probability White House and Pentagon PR people contacted network exectutives and the executives contacted on-air "talent" on how to handle this.

11. lol, I like that.
one of the scariest things about Rove and the media happened around the time the statue fell.

I recall seeing on C-span on a Sunday night Rove give a speech where he said that he wanted to see the intense coverage of the war to stop. He said they should start talking about the war like it's over.

And I vividly remember that on that Wednesday, all the cable channels abruptly took down their "Target Iraq" or "War in Iraq" graphics and turned back to Laci Peterson or whatever the story was. It was very sudden.

9. Very sad...
Why aren't we training Iraqi police and military outside of the country and then bussing them in?

They are and have been sitting ducks for the insurgency...It's a wonder anyone signs up for training anymore.

Enough denial.
Enough lies.
Enough lost lives.
Corporate goals are not in the best interest of
citizens of any country
anywhere in the world.

Let the people come before the profit.
