$20bn Iraq Plan Call for Museums, ZIP Codes
"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush's $20.3 billion proposal for rebuilding Iraq includes money to establish ZIP codes there, help Iraqi workers learn English and start a museum of former leader Saddam Hussein's atrocities, an administration document shows.

The report, obtained by The Associated Press, was distributed to members of Congress as the administration began its Capitol Hill defense of Bush's Iraq policies. The $20.3 billion is part of Bush's $87 billion proposal for Iraq and Afghanistan, which is dominated by his $66 billion request for U.S. military activities in both countries and elsewhere...

Democrats have criticized the $20.3 billion portion for Iraqi reconstruction, noting it comes as the United States struggles with record federal deficits. "

The mind fucking boggles......ZIP CODES AND ENGLISH LESSONS, THAT'S WHAT THEY NEED!!!

2. Let's see
I'm an Iraqi woman whose husband, brother and 3 children have been murdered by American bombs; I'm taking care of my limbless father and my sister, who wakes up screaming every night; I have no visible means of support, no access to the medicines I need, very little food, haven't had water or electricity in my home since last spring; but by crikey, I've got me a ZIP CODE! Woo-hoo! Must close now, have to run to the florist to snap up a bouquet of roses to throw into the path of these glorious occupation troops before rushing off to the "Saddam is Evil" Museum of Modern Horseshit. Hugs, Halla

5. Dear Halla,
I'm an American woman supporting a family consisting of a husband who has been unable to find a job since the factory closed, and 3 children being taught to the test in an over-crowded school. We have lost our healthcare coverage since my husband's job was terminated. I work for minimum wage with no benefits. We're 2 months behind on our mortgage, but I'm trying not to complain. The load you are carrying is a much heavier burden than mine.

Apparently, from your letter, we both share in paying for all of those bombs dropped on your country. You with your family's lives, and I with my children's future.

I am very sorry for the suffering you and your family have endured, but now that you have a zip code, and are taking those 1/2 day classes in English, rest assured things will start getting better for you soon.

Are you eligible for this new program? Sounds like a good deal: '$100 million to protect - and perhaps relocate overseas - 100 witnesses and their families who testify against former government officials, terrorist groups or organized crime figures.'

How is construction coming along on those 26 prisons and the oil pipeline repair? Have they completed the new Supercenter store in your area yet?

Have to run now, off to try to convince the power company to give us an extension, then a quick stop for a revisionist history lesson at the Bush Library.

My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Alice

6. Congress should be involved in making such plans
And the Iraqi should be able to vote in their own leaders before they're put into action.
