Just before it shut down they showed the letter Diebold had sent saying precisely that (that the link to the memos located elsewhere constituted copyright infringement). They must have talked to a lawyer who advised them to take that step. It must be... -CV

Damn, I thought sure her ISP wouldn't fold under this. Linking to other web sites has already been fought in court and it's legal. The only time it isn't legal is when a site makes money by creating a sort of duplicate site with all the links from the other site. Like you couldn't make a site called Oregon news and then simply link to all Oregonian news releases. That is copyright infringement. Bev linking to Diebold is perfectly legal from everything I've ever read on the topic.
