Did anyone besides me see a link about al-queda in Virginia?
I'd like to beg the indulgence of the moderators here. When I logged into Netscape at around 8:45-9 this morning I saw a news item about 8 persons in Virginia who were alleged to be connected to al-queda and arrested for plotting against the US. When I clicked on it, I got an ad for diet Pepsi but no story. I haven't seen anything in any of the forums about it and it's not on the CNN main page, the source of Netscape's news. I know this isn't "Latest Breaking News" (or *was* it?) but this forum moves more slowly than the general discussion forum, where this post might be missed. I'd just like to confirm that it wasn't just a pre-coffee hallucination.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Seven Muslim defendants charged with belonging to a "Virginia jihad network" are facing additional charges, according to a new federal indictment.

Two of the men, Randall Royer and Masoud Khan, are charged with conspiracy to levy war against the United States and conspiracy to provide material support to al Qaeda and the Taliban.

The other men facing various new charges are Ibrahim Al-Hamdi, Seifullah Chapman, Hammad Abdur-Raheem, Caliph Basha Ibn Abdur-Raheem and Sabri Benkhala.

All seven men have entered pleas of not guilty to the original charges against them, which include commencing an expedition against a friendly nation and violating the Neutrality Act.
