Salon: Celebrate Tom DeLay's Birthday!
Although I found this in Google news...

Celebrate Tom DeLay's birthday!
Salon - 10 minutes ago
By Joan Walsh. April 7, 2005 | Friday, April 8, is House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's birthday, and this week the Hammer finds himself on a bed of nails. ...

it is not really news, it is a promotion, but I post it here because:

1. Salon is one hell of a great outfit,
2. It tricked the Google logic, and
3. I'm glad to see someone is capitalizing on DeLay's downfall.

April 7, 2005 | Friday, April 8, is House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's birthday, and this week the Hammer finds himself on a bed of nails. As DeLay biographer Lou Dubose lays out in Salon, the GOP leader's ethical lapses are beginning to catch up with him: At least three international trips secretly financed by foreign agents, almost half a million dollars in campaign funds paid to his wife and daughter, indictments of at least three Texas political cronies. But rather than own up to troubles that are entirely of his own making, DeLay is blaming the "liberal media" for his woes.

We think there's no better way for our readers to celebrate DeLay's birthday than to join Salon Premium today! (We'll send Tom DeLay a complimentary birthday membership as well.) Salon's been covering the Hammer's excesses practically since we began. Joe Conason wrote his first column about DeLay in 1998, and his coverage is still going strong today.

We're happy to see the rest of the media finally hammer away at the Hammer. But if you want to support the kind of aggressive reporting that puts stories like this on the media map, join Salon Premium on our special 15 months for the price of 12 offer and make a difference today!

3. I love Salon
I've been visiting it regularly since 1997. If anyone reading this isn't a member, give it a try. It's well worth the cost. I want to renew my subscription just to send a Salon birthday card to Delay.

:woohoo:
