This is un-fricking believable. Saw the front page of the "Useless Today". Under the headline "No Experience Required" there is a picture of Ah-nuld in full terminator gear right next to General Wesley Clark in his uniform.

Without reading the article, it appears that this is an attempt to "equate" these two men. Sure! I guess that a guy who has an MBA in Economics, reached the highest plateau in 33 years of service to his country, commanded hundreds of thousands of troops, worked with our NATO allies, as well as foreign diplomats and dignataries, served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was Supreme Allied Commander, etc....is equivalent with a former body-builder turned actor and failed restauranteer(sp). Oh, I forgot, he was actually a spy in True Lies and did fight all those machines that were trying to take over the world. I guess he taught kindergarten for a while too.

If we lose CA, we lose forever. This will only embolden the right wingers. "Whose job are they going to go after next?"

For the MODS: I'm a bit of a computer idiot. Basically, turn it on and am amazed that it works. I hope the link works, or another savvy DUer can make it right.

It seems that the 4 bullets are a minor point on such a grand resume. Not only did he take the bullets, but he kept commanding his regiment after being wounded (explains the Silver Star).

9. How did Clark become front runner so fast????

I have not made up my mind yet on a candidate, I have eliminated a few. My question is, how did Clark merely step on the stage and take the lead? Who changed support? Who lost support? Is the rest of the field that weak? I thought Dean was looking strong. Has his support been splintered? It is as if I missed one debate and suddenly Clark is the man to watch. Did he outperform the rest of them at the debate?


I currently have no hard held position on one candidate, I just am wondering what I missed. Clark said he was drafted by tens of thousands of supporters. That shouldn't make him a front runner by itself, does it? Minor league baseball games pull more support than that.


P.S. (putting on tinfoil hat)....I still say Hillary will run. :)

10. USA Today has been shamlessly pro-Arnold

Just two examples that pop from memory:

-- Last week they began a second national front page with a full-page story, with color photo, about "Arnold's American dream."

-- In their coverage of the debate, the only photo they showed with the story was one of Arnold.

You and I may think that USA Today is hopelessly irrelevant and pedestrian, but it's not. People read this stuff. Then we're shocked when Arnold takes a big lead in the polls.

13. All mainstream media is pro-Arnold

Even though many major papers refused to "officially" endorse Arnold on their editorial page (so they could seem objective), those same papers have been endorsing Arnold every day on the front page for months.

Arnold is being elected by the right wing media, if he is elected at all.

We are witnessing the right wing media overthrowing a legally elected Democratic governor.

The entire media is supporting Arnold.
