It's also butting into Bermuda's relationship with Cuba, and can anyone POSSIBLY explain why the hell it's any of their business?
(snip) Bermuda link with Cuba has top U.S. official 'perplexed,' opposition concerned about relations with Washington

HAMILTON, Bermuda, Oct. 2 — Bermuda's decision to establish cultural ties with Cuba has U.S. officials perplexed and the British territory's conservative opposition worried it could damage already fractious relations with the United States.
U.S. Consul General Dennis Coleman said Bermuda's stance may not sit well with U.S. congressmen.
''I can't say what's going to happen in the minds of 535 elected representatives,'' he told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The cultural exchange program ''doesn't help'' Bermuda's relations with Washington as the United States maintains its policy to isolate communist-governed Cuba, he said.
He found Bermuda's action ''perplexing.''
The opposition party said it feared the link could anger Congress, which recently criticized Bermuda for providing tax shelters for U.S. companies.

http://famulus.msnbc.com/FamulusIntl/ap10-02-162253.asp?reg=AMERICAS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Just this year, someone in Bush's gang learned that Bermuda intended to sell its used buses to Cuba. The word came down to them through our ambassador that this would hurt them in the end if they went through with it, and they withdrew from the business agreement.
Of course all Cuba watchers are aware that Bush's people watch the other countries and their relationships with Cuba with great jealousy, and actually will LIE about the nature of their relationships to influence people who live in ignorance about it.
Example: Roger Noriega, on C-Span tonight, being in the State Department's Western Hemisphere Affairs Department, replacing arch-slime Otto Reich, actually told some dolt on the Senate committee headed by Richard Lugar that Brazil's President Lula da Silva made a public statement that he doesn't approve of Cuba's government, or some such nonsense, a PERFECT LIE. He didn't say that. He visited Cuba last week, his statements concerning Cuba were published, and that DID NOT HAPPEN.
Bush's power playing really sucks.
