US and Turkey to hit PKK

Turkey and the US have agreed on an action-plan to eradicate the Kurdish paramilitary group, the PKK.
The group is thought to have around 5,000 members living in northern Iraq.

Ever since the US occupied Iraq, Turkey has been pressing Washington to crack down on the group which both countries designate as terrorist.

Details of the plan are not clear, but a US official said any military action would be carried out by US troops.

The real story is that the US is going to let Turkey annex Northern Iraq simply because we no longer have the manpower to keep the rest of Iraq under our jackboots.

The Kurds thought that the CIA was telling them the truth when they said they were trying to protect them from Hussein. Yet they forgot about the abandonment by the first Bush, and they forgot about the close ties to Turkey.

The Bush cabal just used them as justification for an attack on Iraq, but now that THEY are in control, suddenly they are a threat and have to be dealt with.

Why didn't they just let Hussein deal with them when he wanted to? I mean, what was the damn point of the no-fly zones anyway?

Like I said, not unexpected, but disappointing none the less. US troop casualties will surely rise now that the "dead-enders" have a new ally...

For basic info on the US policy toward Kurds who live in that part of Kurdistan called "Turkey" versus policy toward Kurds who live in that part of Kurdistan called "Iraq," World Link TV has an excellent program called "Good Kurd, Bad Kurd."

Now that the US has seized Iraq, the residents of the Iraq part of Kurdistan are no longer useful, and will be eliminated.
