Should read: Bush Deceived International Community--a classic reversal if we ever saw one. No WMD, no credibility, uh oh, desparation is setting in...

President Bush has again defended his decision to go to war against Iraq, telling reporters Saddam Hussein was "a danger to the world." Mr. Bush said the interim findings by his chief arms inspector in Iraq, David Kay, make it clear that Saddam Hussein actively deceived the international community.
President Bush said Mr. Kay's report shows that Mr. Hussein was in clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions limiting his access to weapons.
Mr. Kay told U.S. lawmakers today and Thursday that his team has not found any actual weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - but did uncover evidence of what he termed "activities" related to a chemical and biological weapons program. Mr. Kay said the weapons search is ongoing, and his team of experts will need at least six more months before they can reach any conclusions.
The inspector's interim report prompted Democratic Senator Carl Levin, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, to stress the need to continue the committee's investigation into the use of pre-war intelligence. Senator Levin questioned how the administration's repeated pre-war statements that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction could have been, "so far off." Mr. Levin said the committee will investigate whether the intelligence community or people who used that intelligence exaggerated the threat posed by Iraq.
