http://rev.tamu.edu/stories/03/100303-10.html

bush* must be having a tough time swallowing his bile over this one. I hope they serve pretzels at the dinner.

---------

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Oct. 3, 2003 - The George Bush Presidential Library Foundation today announced that United States Senator Edward M. Kennedy would receive the 2003 George Bush Award for Excellence in Public Service at a dinner ceremony held at the Bush Library Center on the Texas A&M campus on November 7. Former President Bush will present the award to the Massachusetts Democrat, who will join former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl as Bush Award recipients. The award will be presented in a ceremony at the Library Center following a 5 p.m. address by the Senator at Rudder Auditorium.
Senator Kennedy has represented Massachusetts in the United States Senate since he was first elected in 1962 to fill the seat vacated by his brother, President John F. Kennedy. Since then, he has been re-elected seven times, and is now the second most senior member of the Senate.
Throughout his career, Senator Kennedy has fought for issues that benefit the people of Massachusetts and the nation - particularly the effort to bring quality health care to every American.

7. Poppy has to be conflicted given his affection for the CIA and the CIA's
dislike and distrust of Whistle Ass.

5. ummm...
Ted Kennedy is going to College Station?
and right around 'bonfire' time?
ummm... College Station is probably the second most dangerous place for a Kennedy in Texas. I wonder if the Dallas morning news will have full back page color spashes telling him to go home.

note: i did see a tiny 'aggies for clark' sign at the rally the other afternoon - which implies there are more than the one carrying the sign. perhaps there are 2.

12. Hmmm...this is so interesting
is there some pandering going on,especially since they know Senator Kennedy isn't buying the WMD story...

The hopeful side of me just hopes this really is an attempt to honor his dedication as a great Senator.

Interesting...

15. Kennedy is smart enough to politely say that he has peivious engagement
on that date...and cannot be there to accept....or send someone else to accept for him...this is a ploy to disarm teds attacks on the bush fraud...ted is no dummy
