The woman in red

I have just witnessed one of the strangest events I have ever seen on the political campaign trail.

<snip>

The woman, with long brown hair, wore a bright red top, black Capri pants, and sandals, and she carried a canvas bag over her shoulder and a manila file in her hand. Schwarzenegger spokesman Rob Stutzman approached her and they began talking. Reporters crowded around closer to try to listen. The woman and Stutzman walked away, onto K Street, which had been shut to traffic for the rally. Reporters followed. Stutzman somehow broke free from the pack and guided the woman to a grassy area off the sidewalk. The pack of reporters held off at a respectful distance. It appeared as if the woman was showing Stutzman photos of a child from her manila file, perhaps some paperwork. Before long, bystanders were shouting that the woman was the mother of a Schwarzenegger "love child."

<snip>

"The young lady is looking for her sister," Stutzman said flatly.
"What are you doing here?" another reporter asked.
"I am looking for my sister," the woman said. "When I find her we are going to leave."
Stutzman and the woman walked a block down the pedestrian mall, a couple dozen reporters in tow. They turned right at the corner. Then they walked about a hundred feet, turned around and walked back in the other direction, in the street, against traffic. They came upon a woman holding a small child. The woman in red, the other woman and the child got into a white Ford Escort wagon driven by a man. The car drove off. Reporters scribbled down the license plate number.

23. ABSOLUTELY Arnold should be instantly recalled
Especially now that we have this:

http://www.gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=283&row=0

...It turns out that Schwarzenegger knowingly joined the hush-hush encounter as part of a campaign to sabotage a Davis-Bustamante plan to make Enron and other power pirates then ravaging California pay back the $9 billion in illicit profits they carried off.

...One month after Cruz brings suit, Enron's Lay calls an emergency secret meeting in L.A. of his political buck-buddies, including Arnold.

...the Bush commissioners cook up a terrific scheme: charge the companies with conspiracy but offer them, behind closed doors, deals in which they have to pay only two cents on each dollar they filched.

Problem: the slap-on-the-wrist refunds won't sail if the Governor of California won't play along. Solution: Re-call the Governor...

4. Saw her on TV
She looked hispanic and she was slightly crying, saying something about she was only 16 and then the news reporter said something about how she was with Arnold when he was on location in Mexico shooting a movie.....something like that.

My thought at the time was that she's claiming that he took advantage of her as a minor, but maybe she mothered a child by him? (that's just a rumor at this point)

5. Who else feels like we're living in a movie?
There are plenty of twists and turns, mystery, facist corporate takeovers, hard drugs, women, sex, nazism, racism, CIA spies, international intrigue, treason, death, grand theft, spooks, lies, and now a "woman in a red dress". It's crazy, but it's all directly related. When they do make the movie, it'll be a 20 part epic.

12. If there is a love child, that's ok.
It's not the child's fault. But I think we would have heard about this before.

7. Well...............maybe a B-movie. The actors can't act and there's
no single director. And Rove is a terrible script writer.
No wonder Laura escapes into romance novels.

9. Looks like misdirection to me.
Either the reporter is just giving the people who want to something to talk about (for one reason or another, or another), or the Arnold campaigners are misdirecting the media. This is BS.

10. Let's just hope someone is keeping all the addresses and phone numbers.
For the recall campaign. Has it been started yet? A great place to find registered voters is at the polling places. It might be time to collect the voters names so they can be called back for their signatures on the recall petition.

20. did you guy's see the other story that's coming monday
it's on the page about maria's health.

"MORE

London's DAILY MAIL on Saturday unloaded new shocking allegations by biographer Wendy Leigh, under the headline 'DARK SIDE OF ARNIE.'

The 4,000 word story makes this week's LOS ANGELES TIMES splash on Arnold's alleged womanizing look G-rated by comparison.

"I have spoken exclusively to a woman who was subjected to a terrifying assault by Arnold when they were working together on one of his films," Leigh writes.

Leigh does not name the woman, "as she still works in Hollywood and is petrified of repercussions."

"'I worked on a film with Arnold in the years after his marriage to Maria Shriver,' Leigh quotes the woman as saying. "'We were in the studio and he followed me into the women's toilets.

"'It was scary as he is such a big, tall man. He grabbed me from behind and picked me up off the ground -- I was airborne. He wanted to have sex with me. He said: 'Come on, let's do it. You know how much I want you. I want to feel your t**s and see if they are real.' He clamped his hand on one and wouldn't let go. He had his arms around me. I kept saying: 'No, no, no.' I was trying to get away from him, and he was trying to hold me."

The DAILY MAIL report was not to be made available online, publishing sources said.

Leigh, who wrote the 1990 book "Arnold: An Unauthorized Biography," raises publicly, for the first time, unsubstantiated claims that Arnold fathered a love child with an airline stewardess.

"'I haven't eaten or slept for two days since a reporter from the Los Angeles Times called at my door and asked me about it," the woman tells Leigh. "'There is a picture out there and they say that my son looks like Arnold. But he looks like my husband. It is incredibly hurtful for people to be saying these things about my family.'"

Leigh, refusing to stand down, closes her story by adding: "On Monday, in the second part of this series, I will reveal the truth about his vicious contempt for the very fans who will be voting for him next week."

Developing... "

the repukes are going to look like idiots after this one.

hahahahahahahahaha. sorry about maria, hope she takes care of herself.

15. Here's some speculation
Yes, it is a love child -- but more likely the result of rape -- forced or not, the girl was underage (from what they say).

And the deal was: Give us $2 mill by the end of the rally OR the woman will tell all the reporters at the rally.

The 'drop' of cash was made - older sister secured it, and came for the child's mother.

And off into the night they went.

16. Update from The Original Link
UPDATE: At a press availabiliy in Pleasanton later, Stutzman said the woman did not show him any pictures. She showed him a document, written in Spanish, which he could not translate. This item was updated at 7:57 p.m. to add a few more details to the narrative.

17. I guess Repukes have "love children" while Democrats have "bastards"...
If the Repukes succeed with their latest coup de etat and install this Neanderthal, then they have truly reached the pinnacle of hypocracy.

If we take a page out of their political playbook, I guess it's time for Democrats to blame everything on "Arnold's penis".

America...boy, I used to be proud of my country. Now, I'm ashamed of what these Repuke scum have done to our representative democracy.

24. My favorite summons-serving story
Actually, it was a subpoena. And it happened at a heavy metal show for the band Danzig. People were moshing and stage diving, and the subpoena server made his way onto the stage. But before he dived off, he handed the band's singer the subpoena!
