TALLAHASSEE -- Former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride was home from the hospital after treatment for heart problems and said he felt good enough to do some chores Sunday.
"I just cooked a huge breakfast for my family," McBride said by telephone from his home in Thonotosassa, outside of Tampa.
McBride, who lost the governor's race in November to Gov. Jeb Bush, was released from Tampa General Hospital late Saturday. He had undergone an angioplasty to open blocked coronary arteries that caused him to collapse Thursday while he was working out at Harbor Island Athletic Club.
McBride, 58, said he felt good, but had bruises from his treatment and from the defibrillator used to jump-start his heart.
