General sees stronger ties between Iraqi-US troops
US Brigadier General Daniel Bolger, now in charge of the army's program to help train, equip and organize the Iraqi army, said that strong human contacts were being built between the two former foes.

Bolger could not say when the Iraqis would fully take over the task of protecting their own country, allowing US troops to return home, but stressed that progress was being made while pointing to areas where more was needed.

"There are currently 169,362 trained and equipped Iraqi security forces," his staff said in a statement following a briefing in the heavily protected Green Zone in central Baghdad.

That includes ministry of interior (police) and ministry of defense (army) forces, grouped in more than 100 operational combat battalions.

...

"I've watched these (Iraqi) guys fight to recover their wounded, I've watched them fight to recover wounded American advisors.

5. can US Brigadier Dumbass, err General Daniel Bolger explain this
An hour before dawn, the sky still clouded by a dust storm, the soldiers of the Iraqi army's Charlie Company began their mission with a ballad to ousted president Saddam Hussein. "We have lived in humiliation since you left," one sang in Arabic, out of earshot of his U.S. counterparts. "We had hoped to spend our life with you."

6. Ya gotta remember - US Brigadier General Daniel Bolger
is viewing the war through beer-goggles. Pretty much anything looks good if you've had enough. (Plus he's a sock-puppet.)

I can't believe the stuff they spout. It's sad to see the senior commanders in the once honorable United States military bringing such dishonor on themselves and our soldiers.
