California Race Too Close to Call as Polls Open
By Adam Tanner and Gina Keating

PACIFIC PALISADES/SACRAMENTO, California (Reuters) - California's recall election looked too close to call as voters packed polling stations on Tuesday to decide a race for governor in which Republican actor Arnold Schwarzenegger seeks to unseat unpopular incumbent Democrat Gray Davis.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. PDT (10 a.m. EDT) for Californians to first decide whether to oust Davis, famous for his lack of charisma and dedication to fund-raising, then pick from an assortment of 135 candidates, including the magnetic bodybuilder turned actor.

1. wow...what an unbiased article
Just look at the key words: unpopular incumbent, famous for lack of charism and dedication to fund-raising (that's Davis, of course).
But Schwarzenegger is the "magnetic bodybuilder turned actor."
Could it BE more blatant?

2. Magnetic?
Perhaps his hands can't keep to themselves because of some sort of weird magnetism, eh?

And how come nobody at Reuters ever talks about shrub's "dedication to fund-raising"? Sheesh!

3. Because he the Pres and can do no wrong- duh /sarcasm
I noticed the media's bashing of Davis' fundraising as well. I also noticed the failure to report that Bush has been taken month long vacations to raise money for 2004....
Left wing media my fawking arse.

7. The magnets are in arnie's
hands and they naturally attach themselves to an unsuspecting woman's butt or breast.

4. Expect fraud - lots of it
I'll be shocked if Spankenegger isn't "elected." From unaddressed concerns about touch-screen voting technology to the appearance of the usual cast of Reaganite fixers and schemers, the recall could well turn into Florida II.

8. The media always claims "it is to close to call"
at the very end, it their attempt to make themselves "look" unbiased (yeah, right...NOT) and also pump up their ratings for election return viewing. :argh:
